Teen Killed on a Bicycle the First Day of School

 

MCKINNEY, TX – A teen was killed outside of a Frisco ISD Middle School Wednesday morning after he was hit by a car on his first day of school.

According to the McKinney Police Department, on Aug. 9, 2023 at around 5:30 a.m., MPD officers were dispatched to the intersection of Independence Parkway and George Washington for the report of a major crash.

Upon arrival it was learned that a 15-year-old male was struck by a vehicle while crossing the parkway. The driver stopped and attempted to render aid for the teen. Unfortunately the teen did not survive. 

The crash occurred just blocks from a Frisco ISD middle school. It was the first day of school today.
