SAN ANGELO, TX – A fire broke out on the southside of San Angelo on Wednesday afternoon.
According to our reporters on scene, on July 12, 2023 at around 3:30 p.m., San Angelo Firefighters were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Avenue V for the report of a structure fire.
Once on scene, the firefighters discovered a house on the block that was fully engulfed in flames. Large smoke stacks poured out of the home while active flames were seen coming from the roof. Here is a video of the scene:
Firefighters were able to arrive to the scene quickly after the fire was reported. Our reporters confirmed that crews had water hoses out and were fighting a very active fire that was engulfing parts of the structure.
The cause of the fire has not been confirmed. It is also unknown if the fire will result in a full loss of the home.
The San Angelo Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
