Crash Heavily Damages House on College Hills

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A house College Hills Blvd. was heavily damaged by a Ford Ranger pickup Monday afternoon by a young driver who fell asleep behind the wheel.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, on Apr. 18 at around 2:15 p.m., officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of College Hills and Greenridge for the report of a major crash.

When the officers arrived, they discovered a red Ford Ranger pickup had crashed into the garage and corner of the house. 

The driver was cited for failure to control speed and failure to maintain one lane. The driver told investigating officers he fell asleep while driving.

The driver was not seriously injured. As for the homeowner, crews were called to the scene to check on the structural integrity of the home. They will wait until they know it is safe before removing the truck.
