WATCH: High Speed Crash on Arden Rd. Traps Driver

 

SAN ANGELO – One driver was hospitalized and the other was issued a citation following a scary high speed crash at the intersection of Arden Rd. and FM-2288 Wednesday morning which left one driver trapped in their vehicle. 

San Angelo Police and Firefighters were dispatched to the intersection for a major crash with injuries where an individual was trapped inside a crashed vehicle.

The SAPD investigating officer says a red Chrysler minivan was westbound on Arden Rd. stopped at the stop sign.   

a Silver Chevrolet Impala was northbound on FM-2288 where the posted speed limit is 55 mph.  For an unknown reason, the driver of the minivan pulled into the path of the Impala causing the crash. 

It appears the driver of the Impala was trapped in the vehicle until firefighters pried the driver's door open. 

The driver of the Impala was transported by ambulance to the hospital with unknown injuries and the driver of the minivan was issued a citation for failing to yield the right of way.
