WATCH: 3 Vehicle Crash at Busy Intersection Sends 1 to the Hospital

SAN ANGELO – A three vehicle crash on a busy road in San Angelo Friday afternoon sent one person to the hospital.

At about 2:00 p.m. Friday, a major vehicle crash was called at the intersection of Valley View Boulevard and Knickerbocker Road.

Officer Welch with the San Angelo Police Department stated that a maroon Chevy Suburban was heading westbound towards the lake on Knickerbocker Road.

A white Ford Expedition and a Red Buick Enclave were side-by-side each other on Valleyview Boulevard at the intersection. The Buick Enclave was going straight through the intersection and the Ford Expedition was trying to turn.

Welch then said the maroon Chevy Suburban ran the red light on Knickerbocker Road and struck the Ford Expedition which struck the Red Buick Enclave.

The woman in the Ford Expedition was transported to the hospital while the two individuals in the Chevy Suburban and the woman in the red Buick Enclave did not.

The driver of the maroon Chevy Suburban did receive a citation for disregarding the red light.
