San Angelo Churches Taking in Homeless Affected by Friday Morning Fire

SAN ANGELO, TX – St. Paul Presbyterian Church is asking for donations on Friday morning as they and West Side Baptist Church have taken in the homeless citizens who were impacted by this morning's fire.

As previously reported, on Mar. 11 at around 8 a.m., fire fighters with the San Angelo Fire Department were dispatched to the area of N. Bryant and 7th St. for a large fire. For more see: Fire Breaks Out at San Angelo Homeless Camp

The fire resulted in a number of people having no where to go. Because of this the St. Paul Presbyterian Church and West Side Baptist Church are taking in those people.

"The homeless camp in San Angelo has burned. We are receiving evacuees at Saint Paul Presbyterian Church 11 N. Park," stated St. Paul Presbyterian on Facebook. "West side Baptist will be taking everyone and we are helping get the stragglers over there."

The church is asking for donations of coffee and brunch food. To find out more on how to donate call 325-716-8474.
