Crash Shuts Down Dangerous Highway in Construction Zone

 

SAN ANGELO – A multi-vehicle car crash in the busy highway construction zone on Hwy 67 near Howard College blocked off traffic Tuesday morning for an extended amount of time.

According to a Nixel sent out by the San Angelo Police Department, on Sep. 13, officers with the SAPD were dispatched to the 2900 block of U.S. Hwy 67 for the report of a multi-vehicle crash.

The Nixel alerted the public to avoid the north bound side near Howard College at around 10:40 a.m.

San Angelo LIVE! Reporters on scene say that an ambulance was on scene but it was unknown the extent of the injuries.

Communications reports indicate that there were several vehicles involved in the crash. The crash was located in a road construction zone.

The scene was cleaned and cleared by 11:30 a.m.
