Two Hospitalized After Major Crash Shuts Down Busy Intersection

SAN ANGELO, TX –– A late morning crash slowed down traffic in one of San Angelo's busiest intersections.

According to SAPD, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Knickerbocker Rd. and Bryant Blvd for reports of a three-vehicle crash.

Once officers arrived at the scene they proceed to close off the intersection as they worked to investigate what happened and clear the area.

The initial investigation revealed an older model silver Dodge pickup was traveling north on Bryant Blvd. when it attempted to make a left turn onto Knickerbocker Rd.

The driver of the Dodge pickup failed to yield the right-of-way and crashed into a dark color Dodge pickup that was traveling south on Bryant Blvd.

The impact caused the pickup to then strike a white Chevy pickup.

The two occupants of the dark Dodge pickup were taken to the hospital for further evaluation, with only one transported via ambulance.

The driver of the older Dodge pickup was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
