San Angelo Limo Driver Barely Misses Crash on Sherwood Way

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The driver of a San Angelo limo narrowly escaped crashing on Sherwood Way Wednesday when another vehicle pulled out in front of him from a private drive near Clark St. 

According to San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division Investigating Officer Younts, a Chevrolet Equinox was attempting to turn west onto Sherwood Way out of a private drive and pulled into the path of the limo in the eastbound lanes. 

The limo drive was able to slam on his brakes and avoid colliding with the Equinox.  A blue pickup also was able to stop behind the limo without crashing by slamming on his brakes. but the driver of a black passenger car was unable to stop and crashed into the back of the pickup.  

Younts says there were no serious injuries. 

The driver of the Equinox was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
