SAN ANGELO, TX -- Shortly before 5:00 p.m. the San Angelo Police Department issued a Nixle alert for the area of 19th and Chadbourne after a major motor vehicle accident occurred at the busy intersection.
The crash appears to involve three vehicles, including an F-150 and two SUVs. Scanner reports indicate at least one vehicle had passengers that were trapped.
The vehicles appear to be severely damaged and three ambulances responded to the scene.
Police have closed off the area with crime scene tape and remain at the scene. Motorists are asked to avoid the area between 18th St and 20th St along Chadbourne St.
Investigating San Angelo Police Officers said at the scene the crash is still under investigation and more information will be released later.
