Police Identify Woman Killed in Rollover Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX – Just before 5:30 a.m.Wednesday, San Angelo Police were dispatched to the area of Howard and Coleman for the report of a single-vehicle crash with entrapment.

Responding officers located a 1999 Ford Explorer turned upside down.  The driver, 26-year-old Cheyenne Miller of San Angelo, was unresponsive and later pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Susan Werner.

The preliminary crash investigation revealed Miller was traveling southbound near the 1000 block of Howard Street when Miller lost control of the vehicle and overcorrected; which caused the SUV to flip, collide with a nearby brick-retaining wall, and land on it’s roof.  The SUV came to rest after colliding with an AEP utility pole.  Miller was not wearing a seatbelt.

Evidence at the scene indicates that speed and alcohol are contributing factors to the crash.

This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released when it becomes available.
