Three Car Crash at Busy San Angelo Intersection Sends One to the Hospital

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A three car crash during the noon hour blocked traffic at the busy intersection of S. Bryant and S. Jackson Monday sending one driver to the hospital. 

According to the San Angelo Police Department's investigating officer at the scene, a black Buick was northbound on S. Bryant. 

A Jeep Cherokee and a Honda Odyssey were sitting at the light eastbound on S. Jackson.  

When the signal light turned green, the Cherokee and Odyssey entered the intersection.  

The driver of the Buick disregarded the red light and crashed into the Odyssey pushing it into the Cherokee. 

The driver of the Buick was injured and was taken to the hospital by private vehicle, 

The driver of the Buick was also cited for failure to yield the right of way at the signal light. 

Traffic was blocked while crews removed debris from the roadway and the vehicles were towed.
