One Child Hospitalized After Minivan Rollover

ABILENE, TX-- KTXS News reports that one child had to be transported after a crash where a minivan rolled on its roof outside of a Walmart on Monday.

First responders were dispatched to the two-vehicle crash in front of the Walmart on State Highway 351 around 3:35 p.m. on Monday. It was believed there was entrapment.

Upon arrival, Authorities found a heavily damaged Honda minivan on its roof with the side caved in from the impact. A Jeep Wrangler ran a red light and hit the minivan, causing it to roll.

Two young girls were in the minivan with their mother. A young boy was in the Jeep Wrangler and had to be transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening.

All three children "were properly restrained," according to KTXS.

The driver of the Jeep was cited for running the red light.
