Driver Injured in High Speed Crash That Leaves Pickup Wrapped Around Light Pole

UPDATE 8/13/2018 8:30 a.m.  The driver of the Ford F250 was taken to the hospital by ambulance following the high speed crash.  

According to San Angelo Police Department Investigating Officer Brian Bylsma, the F250 was northbound on Bryant. 

The four door Hyundai was crossing the intersection with a green light.

The F250 crashed into the Hyundai.  Bylsma said the driver of the Hundai suffered minor injuries. 

The crash is still under investigation and the driver of the F250 could be issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo Police are investigating a high speed crash Monday morning that left a pickup wrapped around a light pole. 

The crash happened around 7 a.m. at the intersection of S. Bryant Blvd. and S. Jackson St.  

Police sent out a nixle alert about 7:15 a.m. warning drivers to avoid the intersection because traffic lanes were blocked off.  

Reporters on the scene say the pickup and a black passenger car were involved.
