COKE COUNTY, TX - A 69-year-old Miles woman died in a Coke County crash involving a semi-truck yesterday afternoon on US 277, about 5 miles north of Bronte.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the preliminary investigation indicated that Juan Molina, 65, of Del Rio, Texas, was traveling northbound on US 277 in a 2004 Volvo Truck Tractor pulling 2016 Vanguard Semi-Trailer just south of Marrow Rd. At the same time, Linda McClellan of Miles was traveling southbound on US 277 in a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The trucker crossed into the southbound lane of US 277, colliding with the Jeep, front left to front left.

McClellan was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Jackie Walker. Next of kin have been notified, said DPS.

Molina suffered non-incapacitating injuries, was treated at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, and later released.

Trooper Eric Young with the Texas Highway Patrol investigated the scene with the assistance of Trooper Robert Aldrete and Trooper Jason McMillan with DPS San Angelo, TxDOT and the Robert Lee Volunteer Fire Department.
