Suspected Drunk Driver Causes 3-Car Pile-up on Chadbourne

A suspected drunk driver was involved in a crash on N. Chadbourne and 19th St. at approximately 10:30 p.m.

According to San Angelo police, the driver of a red Chevrolet Silverado 2500 rammed the rear of another red pickup, a Ford. The Ford then ran into the rear of another vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle in the front left the scene and pulled over north of the location. Police at the Chadbourne and 19th location did not know the status of the driver of the lead vehicle in this crash.

Police determined that the driver of the red Chevy that started the three-vehicle crash was intoxicated, and he was booked and sent to the Tom Green County Jail.

Police said the red Chevy pickup driver received a citation for failure to control speed and driving while intoxicated.

Medics tended to the driver of the lead vehicle at a separate location. No one else was injured.
