Three vehicles were involved in a crash Sunday afternoon when the driver of a white Dodge Avenger ran into the rear of the pearl-colored GMC Acadia. The Acadia then rear-ended a maroon Ram pickup.
San Angelo police said the driver of the Acadia was sent to the hospital in an ambulance with minor injuries. All vehicles involved were occupied by just a driver. There were no passengers.
The crash closed down some lanes on Knickerbocker Rd. at the Valleyview intersection, in front of Stripes, for about an hour while the traffic investigation was ongoing.
The driver of the Avenger that rear-ended the Acadia was cited for failure to control speed. The crash happened at approximately 5:30 p.m.
