Teen Driver Killed on I-10 Near Sonora

A teen driver was killed on I-10 near Sonora early Monday morning.

According to the Texas DPS, 18-year-old Aaron Levi Bidwell was driving a Chevrolet 4x4 pickup westbound on I-10 approaching Sonora. Approximately eight miles east of Sonora, he veered off the roadway to the right, then over-corrected to the left, causing the vehicle to enter a side-skid into the center median. Upon reaching the grass median, the truck rolled multiple times, crossing the eastbound lanes. The truck slammed onto the rock wall on the south side of the interstate highway before coming to a rest, DPS reported.

The approximate location of the crash:

Riding with Aaron Bidwell was Elijah Cain Bidwell, 23. Both were transported to Hudspeth Hospital in Sonora. Aaron died at the hospital. Elijah was treated for minor injuries.

DPS reported that both occupants were wearing a seatbelt.

The crash happened on I-10, eight miles east of Sonora at 4:19 a.m. Monday morning. The skies were clear and the roadway dry, DPS reported.

What is the deal with these stupid surveys ? The first 2 or 3 were annoying, now they are just plain stupid that you've got to click something or skip it to continue to a story.... Get rid of them !!!

We are a Google Survey-approved website. They are a large advertiser that supports what we're doing. If you take a survey, they don't re-appear for a long time. If you partially fill out a survey, they won't appear for 24 hrs. If you hit cancel, you could be shown one again today during your browsing. Google Surveys are used on many sites, and so far I'm liking them a lot. We just completed a "Elect or Appoint a San Angelo police chief" survey and tomorrow in the email I'll write about the data returned.

Love the surveys, man. They're gonna get health insurance for my employees here.
