Woman Arrested for DWI After Crash into Tree

 

Police said they arrested a driver after she veered off N. Chadbourne St. near 19th St. over a pedestrian crossing sign and into a tree with a four-door Toyota Corolla.

“Impairment” was the reason police gave for the crash. Initially, the police heard that the driver was trapped, but by the time they arrived, the driver was out of the vehicle seemingly uninjured.

The driver was arrested for DWI and booked into the Tom Green County Jail. The crash happened at approximately 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle and no other vehicles involved in the crash.
