A two vehicle crash at the intersection of Ave. Q ,Knickerbocker and Bryant Ave. occurred shortly before the noon hour today.

At 11:23 a.m., the San Angelo Police Department responded to an accident where a Kia Soul and Honda Civic collided.

According to both drivers they each had a green light, as the Kia Soul was in the left turn lane turning from north to west, and the Honda Civic was traveling south on Bryant. Upon impact the air bags in both vehicles were deployed, sending two young women; the drivers of each vehicle, ages 20 and 30, to Shannon Medical Center with non-life threating injuries.

Another officer was called to the scene to evaluate the signal to ensure they are functioning properly.

Due to a lack of witnesses that had a clear view of the accident, no citations have been issued at this time.

At what point will the Government deem it a "good use of tax dollars" to install traffic cameras at these dangerous intersections? Is there a quote of significant injuries or deaths that has to be reached before anything proactive is done? Can someone tell me what the quota is???

When they put cameras up, everyone wants them gone. They say invasion of privacy. It is like "Damed if you do and Damed if you don't"
