F-150 Collides with Harley-Davidson During Noon Rush Hour

During one of the busiest times of the day on San Angelo streets, the noon hour rush, Officer J. Loudermilk of the SAPD responded to the scene of a two vehicle accident on Sherwood Way at approximately 12:32 p.m.

There he found a white walled Harley-Davidson motorcycle that had been involved in a crash with a Ford F-150 truck. While pulling out of the driveway  at Long John Silver’s, the F-150 failed to yield the right-of-way causing the Harley-Davidson traveling on the inside lane to collide with the left back quarter panel of the truck.

Christian Delgado, the driver of the truck, and two other passengers in his vehicle were uninjured. The impact of the crash sent the cyclist over the handlebars and onto the street, leaving a laceration to the motorcyclist's head and various superficial wounds, the motorcyclist was transported to Shannon Medical Center.

Loudermilk indicated he would follow up on the extent of the motorcyclists injuries, but believes at this time the cyclist did not suffer any major injuries. It is also unclear if the cyclist was wearing a helmet or not. A citation was issued to the driver of the F-150 for failure to yield right-of-way from a private drive.
