LAKE VIEW – The Lake View Chiefs will head to Levelland to take on the Lobos this Friday night and could have the best start to a season in recent memory.
The Chiefs (3-1) have a great chance to move to 4-1 against the 0-4 Levelland Lobos. Lake View has been running the ball with ease this season and have almost 1,000 yards on the ground and 12 touchdowns. Ricky Ramirez and Ian Cortez have been leading the way with 814 yards and nine touchdowns between the two backs.
The Chiefs do enough with the passing game with receivers Derrick Taylor, Davashtian Manely, and Adrian Flores who have a combined 391 yards and five touchdowns.
The Chief’s defense has been doing its job especially in the turnover department. Michael Duran leads the Chiefs with four of the eight interceptions the Chiefs have.
Lake View cannot look past the Lobos as running back Marco Guillen has been putting up some really good numbers. Guillen has 78 carries for 445 yards and four touchdowns. Stats are incomplete for the Lobos but those are good numbers for one running back regardless.
Either way, the Chiefs will head to Levelland and have a good chance to go 4-1. For score updates, analysis, coverage, and breakdowns of all the high school football action, tune into COVER1 this Friday at around 4:00, 8:00, and 10:00 p.m. only on San Angelo LIVE!
