Water Valley Finds New Head Coach

 

WATER VALLEY, TX- The Water Valley Wildcats have found a head football coach after the former coach elected to stay at the 6-man level.

Pending board approval, Charles Boles has been named to lead the Wildcats as they make the jump to 11-man football. Boles was the head coach at Cumby last season and also led the Miles Bulldogs two years ago.

Last year, Boles led the Cumby Trojans to a 1-7 record.

The board will have their regular meeting on February 14, 2022 will have to approve Boles before he can join the Wildcats.

Former Wildcat coach Nathan Hayes stepped down to stay at the 6-man level.

At the recent UIL realignment, Water Valley moved up to 11 man and will play a district consisting of Eldorado, McCamey, Midland Texas Leadership, Sterling City, Wink, and Iraan.

Last season, Hayes took Water Valley to the third round of the playoffs where they lost to the state finalist May Tigers.
