Volunteer Firefighters Contain Multiple Grass Fires, One Structure Fire Overnight

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - Volunteer fire departments successfully managed multiple grass fires and one structure fire across the county last night, the Dove Creek Volunteer Fire Department reported. 

The Dove Creek VFD responded to 15 grass fires and one structure fire. With assistance from the Wall, Texas Volunteer Fire Department and the Christoval Volunteer Fire Department, all incidents were contained, and none escalated out of control.

In a Facebook post, the department praised the “outstanding efforts” of all volunteers who responded to emergencies in the county. It thanked the men and women for taking time away from their families to protect their communities.
