Sheriff’s Office to Conduct Realistic Training Exercise in Grape Creek

GRAPE CREEK, TX — Residents near the 8300 block of US Highway 87 North may notice an increased law enforcement presence Monday morning as the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office conducts a realistic training exercise.

The exercise, scheduled between the morning and early afternoon hours, will take place on the south side of the highway and involve activity involving sheriff’s office vehicles, emergency lights, and visible weapons. Loud noises and other actions may also occur during the training, officials said.

Authorities stated that the event is confined to a specific designated area and not related to any real emergency. Residents experiencing actual emergencies during this time are encouraged to contact dispatch and specify their situation.

The Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department will assist with traffic control as part of the exercise.
