TGC Sheriff's Office Announces Promotions

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office celebrated a series of promotions, recognized outstanding service, and introduced new talent to the department.

This happened this morning at a promotional ceremony in the Commissioners Courtroom at 9:30 a.m. 

Chief Roger Looka greeted attendees, followed by a prayer from County Judge Lane Carter. Lieutenant Bill Kirkland led the U.S. and Texas pledges. Sheriff Hanna delivered a speech emphasizing growth and advancement, stating, "Together we will build a legacy of excellence, integrity, and service."

Sergeant Nick Hammer was recognized for a "job well done" by the FBI regarding a criminal investigation conducted with leads from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that resulted in the arrest of a child predator in San Antonio.

The ceremony also introduced two new employees: Estella Rivera-Sauceda, Forensic Specialist, and Sherry Guevara, Administrative Assistant/Crime Analyst.

Promotions included Chasin Deaton, Fernando Renteria, and Ron Sanders to Jail Corporal; Michael Crawford to Patrol Corporal - A Shift; Steven Diaz to Patrol Corporal - C Shift; and Elena Tellez to Sergeant in the Mental Health Unit.

The Sheriff's Office congratulated these “outstanding employees” on their achievements.
