Testing of Tabulating Equipment Marks Election Preparedness

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - In a step towards ensuring a smooth and accurate Primary Election on March 5, 2024, the automatic tabulating equipment underwent a successful test on Wednesday, Jan. 31.

The testing took place at the Elections Office, 113 West Beauregard, where officials examined the equipment's functionality in counting votes for all candidates.

Tom Green County Election Administrator Vona Hudson led participants through the voting process during the test, which included guests actively engaging in the examination of the equipment. 

The exercise aimed to verify the equipment's ability to accurately tally votes cast for various candidates.
