Tom Green Co. Burn Ban Lifted Effective Immediately

SAN ANGELO – The Burn Ban in Tom Green County has been lifted effective immediately following weekend rains.

According to County Judge Lane Carter's office, the burn ban was lifted Wednesday morning.

Residents who live in the County outside the city limits of San Angelo may now burn trash and debris on their own property.

There is little or no rain in the forecast and afternoon high temperatures are expected to reach 100 degrees for the next several days, so the Commissioners Court could reinstate the burn ban soon.
