Burn Ban Lifted in Tom Green County

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – County Judge Steve Floyd has lifted the current burn ban for Tom Green County effective at 10:00 am Thursday, July 2, following recent precipitation in Tom Green County which has sufficiently removed the previous “drought conditions” throughout the county.

Throughout the last week Firefighters from every volunteer fire department in Tom Green County have responded to several wildfire calls over the last few days.

According to waterdata.usgs.gov, Tom Green County has recorded approximately 0.40 inches of precipitation at Twin Buttes Reservoir and 0.21 inches at Lake O.C Fisher in San Angelo over the last week.
