Christoval Cancels School After Bomb Threat

 

Students in Christoval are being sent home after a bomb threat this morning.

LT. Christina Lopez, public information officer for the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, said parents, guardians and emergency contacts are being asked to pick up their children.

“Elementary students were on a field trip, so they’re being taken to the Baptist Church in Christoval,” said Lt. Lopez. “The high school students were evacuated to the Community Center.”

Lopez said the bomb threat is still being investigated for now, and school for today is canceled. Classes will resume as normal on Tuesday.

Lopez added that this is all the information available at this time. Once she has more information, she will provide an update.
