Tom Green County Sheriff D avid Jones will run for re-election.
“It is a privilege for me to serve the people of Tom Green County as their sheriff, and I want to thank the citizens of Tom Green County for giving me the opportunity,” Jones said.
“We achieved many goals during my first term in office, and the entire sheriff’s office has worked diligently to serve and protect our fellow citizens. I respectfully ask the voters to return me for a second term.”
Sheriff Jones first won election to the office in 2012. He will run in the March 2016 Republican primary and, if re-nominated, the November 2016 general election.

I will be so glad to get to vote for the New Sheriff this time... in the few years that i have lived here I have seen the crooked behavior of the sheriff dept. They harass the innocent and believe anything that is told to them as fact , they have ruined several peoples lives cause of it .... and in a recent thing they took over 30 mins to respond to a call and we are suppose to get help by this come on ...

PermalinkNew Sheriff and county Judge both needed.Tom Green County tax payers can,t afford a nother 4 yrs of new Tahoes,retired DPS giving out tickets to the oil field,it's gone.Still major problems at the JAIL.Lost a lot of good employes by going to 12 hr shifts and still under staffed always asking for more money for overtime.Voters it's time for a change
