Man Jailed Monday for Indecency with a Child by Exposure

A 40-year-old man listed as residing in Tom Green County since August was jailed by sheriff's deputies on Monday, following a motion to revoke probation warrant for a November 2013 charge of indecency with a child by exposure out of Pecos County.

TxDPS sex offender records indicate that Carlos Resendez was sentenced to 5 years 180 days probation for the third-degree felony and moved to Tom Green County nine months later. His victim was a 7-year-old girl. Resendez is currently being held at the jail in lieu of a $50k surety bond.

Joining Resendez in the county jail on Monday were 23 others booked on various charges, some on warrants and committments. Theft led the report at six counts, followed by three marijuana, two possession and two assault charges. One person apiece was jailed for public intoxication, sexual abuse of a child continuous, victim under 14, and evading arrest.

Twenty-three inmates were released on Monday.
