Six Jailed for DWI Sunday

The holiday weekend brought an influx of alcohol-related offenses Sunday, when six of 28 inmates were jailed for driving while intoxicated. An additional three were booked for public intoxication.

Assault was the second-highest charge on Sunday, with five inmates booked for a form of assault-related violence. Two were booked on marijuana charges, as well as one apiece for theft, car theft, and evading arrest. 

Twenty-eight inmates were released from the county jail on Sunday.
