Repeat Offender Jailed for Obstructing Highway Thursday

Otis Ray Woodfin, Jr., the chronicled repeat offender famous for accidentally dialing 911 on himself and refusing search when seen sitting behind a bong, was arrested for the 32nd time in Tom Green County Thursday, this time for obstructing highway passageway.

San Angelo Police Officer Stewart’s report indicates that around 8:40 a.m. Thursday he was dispatched to E. 14th and Bradford Streets in reference to a suspicious person. At the 600 block of Culwell St., a four-lane roadway, Stewart observed Woodfin, slowly sauntering down the street.

Public Information Officer Brian Robinson, who spoke with officer Stewart about the incident, explained that Woodfin was uncooperative when Stewart asked him to leave the street, and eventually had to be escorted to the side of the road. He was then arrested for obstruction of a highway or other passageway and booked into the Tom Green County Jail.

Woodfin’s criminal case history in the county is almost as epic as his name, with 21 cases including theft, pot, DWI, PI, resisting arrest and multiple other charges.

In addition to Woodfin, 22 inmates were put behind bars on Thursday, including three charged with public intoxication, two with pot possession, two with DWI, two with possession, one with theft and one with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Thirty-six inmates were released on Thursday.

Arrested 32 times? Nothing to see here, he's years away from appropriate punishment. However, I bet he is a good brother or husband to somebody. He has been misunderstood all of his life. He might change for the better before arrest # 60.

The answer lies with God, FPM. We just gotta pray. Whatever happens as a result of prayer is what is meant to be.
