Man Jailed on Fifth DWI Tuesday after Evading Arrest in Vehicle

 

Tom Green County Sheriff's Deputies arrested and jailed a man for evading arrest in a motor vehicle Tuesday, who was also booked on his fifth DWI charge since 1997. The 37-year-old man was also charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, charges that reapper frequently throughout his lengthy criminal history. Tuesday marked his 22nd stay in the jail.

Two others were booked on DWI charges Tuesday, as well as two each charged with theft, possession, marijuana and public intoxication. The jail reports inmates being booked on one charge apiece for unlawfuly carrying a weapon, assault, resisting arrest, manufacture/delivery, and criminal mischief.

Another individual was jailed for aggravated sexual assault of an elderly/disabled person and injury to a child/elderly/disabled person. Both offenses took place in February 2010 and the man has been indicted on the charges.

Thirty-one inmates were released on Tuesday.
