Twenty-one inmates were booked into the Tom Green County Jail on Thursday, mostly for warrants on previous charges. Three were jailed for possession, two for theft, two for DIW, two for pot and two for assault charges.
One man was put behind bars after a judement nisi was issued, meaning he had failed to appear in court and a judgment was issued. The man was charged with sexual assault of a child, aggravated sexual assault of a child and burglary of a habitation. Should he fail to appeal or request the court set it aside, the judgment will stick.
Twenty-eight inmates were released on Thursday.
