Two Arrested for DWI in July 4 Crash on 87

Two intoxicated drivers, who knew each other, were involved in a crash between 9 and 10 p.m. on July 4, resulting in both drivers being issued citations for driving while intoxicated. 

The crash occurred on US 87 North, about a half a mile from Grape Creek at the intersection of Brown and US 87.

Texas DPS Trooper Walts said the vehicles were heading southbound on 87 when the white passenger vehicle pulled in front of the SUV and the vehicles collided. 

No one was injured in the crash, however Trooper Walts relayed that both drivers were under the influence of alcohol. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, the drivers were arrested and the single passenger of one of the vehicles was also intoxicated.

As I have said, "Are You Serious"? There are alot of hardworking people out there and many more who don't drink. I guess we could say that about San Angelo, JD was right about you.

As I told JD, please don't read my comments anymore if they offend you and in turn, I will remain silent about any opinion of yours which I deem not worthy to be in print. I am more than fully aware there are good people in Grape Creek but for stories involving less than honorable behavior, the lower element of Grape Creek is many times involved. Perhaps I hit a nerve with you because you thought I personally attacked one of your family manners? And if you want to have a hostile debate of differing opinions on here, I welcome it. I will not back down from your comments of hateful provocation toward me.

To begin with, it is members, not manners. No, you did not hit a nerve because none of my family members drink but your comment reminded me of all those comments about Oilfield Trash. You have lumped all people in Grape Creek into your comment, however, you failed to point out how many times San Angelo is mentioned in these kinds of news stories, which is offensive. I am not being hateful, at all. You could have made a statement which was not all inclusive but then when someone says something about your all inclusive remarks you get a big ole attitude, if you can't take it then don't post it.
