Grand Jury Indicts 60, Over Half on Drug Offenses

 

Sixty individuals were indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury this month, 12 of those on two or more offenses. The grand jury met for one day on June 2, and released the list on Monday, which includes indictments for the 51st, 119th, 340th and 391st District Courts. Of those indicted, authorities have issued capias warrants for 27 of the individuals.

Out of 75 total offenses listed, 37 are drug related. Ten of the 12 indicted on multiple charges have at least one drug charge against them. Below is the list of the total indictments in each category, as well as the names of those indicted. Some received multiple indictments for the same offense.

Possession of a controlled substance:

PG 1, <1 gram—24 indictments (some have multiple)

PG 2, >/= 1 gram<4 grams—4 indictments

Brittany Nicole Primrose (2); Kaheem Richard Jones (2).

Manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance:

PG1, >/=4 grams<200 grams—8 indictments

Juan Carlos Alvarez; Thomas Lee Nuncio Jr.; Steven Michael Reed Mireles; Adam Benavides; Christian Ross; Terrance Deshaun Cadd; Rosaelia Irene Zapata; Laura Aguirre-Zamora.

Possession of marijuana:

>4 ounces </= 5 pounds—2 indictments

Nine individuals were indicted on two offenses this month and three were indicted on three offenses. Of those 12, 10 had at least one drug-related charge. Those individuals and their indictments are listed below.

Juan Carlos Alvarez—Manufacture/delivery PG1; evading arrest/detention with previous conviction

Thomas Lee Nuncio Jr.—Manufacture/deliver PG1; unlawful possession firearm by felon

Christopher Ryan Ceniseros—Possesion PG1; evading arrest/detention with vehicle

Kevin Shawn Byrd—Possession PG1, two counts

Jonathan Jesse Marin—Possession PG1; forgery financial instrument; credit card/debit card abuse

Miguel Angel Serrano—Possession PG1, two counts

Kaheem Richard Jones—Possession PG2, two counts; possession marijuana

Brittany Nicole Primrose—Possession PG2, two counts; possession marijuana

Cindy Diane Barrera—Possession PG1, two counts

Thomas Darwin Chappell—Theft of property >/= $1,500<$20k, two counts

Andrea Maricruz Mendoza—Assault public servant; harassment public servant
