There was a rollover crash of an Izusu truck early this morning near Barnhart. The Department of Public Safety reports that a 36-year-old man was injured and transported to Shannon Medical Center by the Big Lake EMS shortly after 6:30 a.m. There were no other occupants of the crashed vehicle, and it was a one-vehicle crash.
The DPS investigation revealed that the truck’s right rear tire appeared to have blown out causing the driver to lose control and travel off the right side of the roadway. The driver then overcorrected back to the left and crossed over both the east and westbound lanes before driving off the left side of the roadway.
The truck then rolled over one time coming to rest upright facing southeast.
Trooper Jason Lujan-Luna was the investigating officer.
