Assault and Crimes Against Children Top Tuesday Bookings

Assault charges were high on Tuesday, when seven individuals were jailed both on new and previous charges, one of which was aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. 

Pot possession and theft each accounted for three arrests, while one individual was arrested each for PI, DWI and possession of drugs. 

One individual was booked on a previous charge of sexual assault of a child, and another was charged with injury to child and child abandonment.

Twenty-seven inmates were booked into the county jail Tuesday and 43 were released.
