Girlfriend Borrows Motorcycle, Ride Ends in Fiery Crash

A Grape Creek man bought a 1982 Suzuki 450 yesterday. Today, he let his girlfriend take it for a spin. She didn't get far from home, traveling only about a 1/4 mile before incorrectly navigating a turn on Sage Rd.

The girlfriend may have left the bike early we speculate, because luckily she wasn't hurt, or appeared scathed. The bike, however, crashed into a fence and was soon engulfed in flames thereafter.

The 911 call came in as a motorcycle on fire in a field in Grape Creek at approximately 5:15 p.m. today.

The Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Dept. put out the blaze and prevented a grass fire. The bike appeared to be a total loss. See pics.

Tom Green County Sheriff's Dept. was still investigating the accident. Whether or not the alleged driver of the bike was licensed to drive motorcycles is unknown.
