Suspects Identified in Motel 6 Crime

 

On Friday, Feb. 14, San Angelo police officers were dispatched to a motel in the 300 block of North Bryant Blvd.  Upon arrival officesr were directed to a vacant motel room that appeared to be a possible crime scene, including what appeared to be bullet holes in a door frame and a quantity of blood.  

Detectives and crime scene technicians were dispatched to process the crime scene and provide follow-up investigation.  At the same time officers from the Special Operations Section were sent to locate the registered occupant of the room. 

The occupant, found at another location was interviewed about the incident. The occupant advised that he was assaulted by the suspects and shots were fired.  The occupant was not struck by the shots.  During the interview, the occupant told investigators that this incident was possibly made in retaliation for reporting a burglary that the suspects allegedly committed.

Follow-up investigation identified the two suspects as Frank Mayo, 10/22/1965 and Eric Estrada 3/8/1982.  Detectives obtained aggravated assault warrants for both individuals.  Mayo was located and arrested the following day.  Estrada has not been located and should be considered armed and dangerous.  If you have information of the whereabouts of Eric Estrada, contact the San Angelo Police Department at (325)-657-4498 or call crime stoppers at (325) 658-4357
