Tickets are available for the 2014 Go Red Luncheon, benefiting the American Heart Association. The event will take place Wednesday, Feb. 5 at the McNease Convention Center. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. Breakout sessions will take place at 11 a.m. and will feature fitness experts and health professionals who will give you steps to take today for better heart health.
This is the eighth year for Shannon to sponsor the luncheon, which encourages women to learn about their risk of heart disease and to take action to reduce their personal risk. Samia Benslimane, M.D., Shannon Clinic cardiologist, will speak at the event again this year and comedienne Jan McInnis will provide the keynote address. The event will also include a “Purseonality” purse silent auction and exhibit booths.
Tickets are $30 each and may be purchased through Feb. 1 by calling the American Heart Association at (325) 481-6300.
Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association’s nationwide movement that empowers women with knowledge and tools so they can take positive action to reduce their risks of heart disease and stroke and protect their health. Sponsors of this year’s Go Red event include Shannon Medical Center, Shannon Regional Heart Center and Macy’s.
