DWIs and Drug Possession Up

While theft and assault comprised high numbers of crimes toward the end of 2013, it would appear that DWIs and possession charges are in for the new year.  

Tom Green County Jail booked seven inmates for drug possession and three for driving while intoxicated on Monday.

While less people were booked for theft, there were eight incidents on the San Angelo Police Department’s Daily Incident Report for Monday.

Assault was lower than it has been, accounting for only three incidents and two bookings, however violence escalated as one charge was aggravated, one cause bodily injury, and a third was sexual.  

There were a total of 30 inmates booked on Monday, with 26 released.
