San Angeloans to Send Holiday Cards and Letters to Soldiers

Goodfellow Air Force Base and the Sunset Mall are teaming up to bring holiday cheer to soldiers serving overseas.

The “Holiday Salute to Heroes” is an annual drive hosted by Goodfellow and Sunset Mall to mail holiday letters and Christmas cards to service men and women.

If you want to spread a little holiday love to those serving overseas, write a heartfelt letter thanking them for service, or as you buy Christmas cards for family, pick up a couple extra to send to a soldier.

To participate in the card and letter drive, bring a card or letter in an unsealed envelope without postage to the drop off site in the mall near the children’s play area and Marshalls.

Said letters will be mailed collectively to the appropriate units. Due to military mailing deadlines for the holidays, all letters and cards need to be dropped off before Dec. 8.

Please do not seal the envelopes.
