Familiar Face Plays Hard to Get and Evades SAPD

Everyone’s got to be known for something, and for Randy Sutton, it’s his extensive history with the San Angelo Police Department. Responding to a call around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, SAPD Officer F. Flores arrived at the cross of Webster and Jefferson Streets when he spotted a stolen brown Buick paused at the stop sign.

The SAPD had received information that the thief of the vehicle was none other than the infamous Randy Sutton, and upon approaching the vehicle with his own, Officer Flores was able to confirm his identity. He’d seen the guy around before.

As Sutton turned south onto N. Jefferson, Flores attempted to stop the driver, however Sutton continued to roll down Jefferson, preferring to add Evading with a Motor Vehicle to his already impressive rap sheet.

Following a brief vehicle pursuit, which ended in the 1300 block of San Antonio, Sutton stepped away from the vehicle and was booked into the Tom Green County Jail. The owner of the vehicle chose not to press charges.
