SAN ANGELO, TX – Construction has begun on the newest Whataburger restaurant in San Angelo.
As previously reported, in October 2022, the City of San Angelo Building and Inspections Department received a permit to construct a $2.8 million Whataburger at 5855 Sherwood Way. For the original article see: Texas Favorite Burger Chain to Open Restaurant at New Shopping Center on Sherwood Way
In less than a year, crews began the construction of the building. As of September 5, 2023, construction crews had already leveled out the land and had begun installing plumbing.
This location is directly in front of the Kohl's in the Shop at Sherwood shopping center. This would be the fourth Whataburger in town.
The opening date hasn't been revealed at this point.
