Opening Day Approaches for Mamma Changs

SAN ANGELO, TX – The opening date for the "Chang Gangs" newest restaurant is approaching fast.

According to Adrian Soto, owner of Señor Changs, Mamma Changs will be open by the end of the month. "We are hoping that we will be open sometime between June 17-24," said Soto. "We have a few catering jobs this week and then will be putting all of our attention on opening."

Senor Changs has been in business in San Angelo for a number of years and was originally located at 502 N Van Buren. Changs in now located at 1822 N Chadbourne but Soto still owns the original building.

"We have decided to not open Van Buren as Senor Changs and move forward with another concept that we have been considering for the last couple of years," stated Soto in a previous article about the new restaurant. For the original article see: The Future of Señor Changs

Soto and his crew decided with the concept of Italian food. They will offer a number of classic items including chicken alfredo and spaghetti and meatballs. They will also offer "build your own bowls" which give customers the choice of four pastas, multiple different sauces, and countless other toppings.

Mamma Changs will be doing their own "take and bakes" as well. These will be large pasta entrees that can be heated up and enjoyed at home. They will be able to feed a family of 4-5 people.

"We are using all fresh ingredients in our food," said Soto. "We will even be having our own fresh basil, sauce made in house, and all extremely fresh ingredients."

For dessert they will offer tiramisu and cannolis. To add a twist to the menu they will also offer mozzarella egg rolls as a subtitute for mozzerella sticks.
