Concho Palace Closing Doors Due to "Empty Wallet"
SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Concho Palace has decided to close their doors after a short stint in San Angelo.
According to the Concho Palaces Facebook, the dance hall will be closing on October 18.
The post describes why the country western bar is closing. Here it is.
Dear Friends, it’s with a heavy heart and an empty wallet that we announce the closing of The Concho Palace Dance Hall and Saloon. It’s truly been an honor and a pleasure to have been able to be a part of the San Angelo nightlife and entertainment for the last year. For those of you who put forth the time, effort and money to actually come out in support of our venue, on behalf of the artists, staff and management; we say thank you. We did what we could to bring you the best entertainment including legendary artists, up-and-coming artists, regional and local artists such as; Gene Watson, Johnny Bush, Shelly Lares, Moe Bandy, Darrell McCall, Ram Herrera, Bret Mullins, David Adam Byrnes, Tayla Lynn, Tre Twitty, Randall King, Mark Powell, the incomparable Will Bannister, Sam Whiskey, Braydon Zinc, Lynn Massey, Kelly Spinks, Brice Daniels, Case Hardin, Joe Tervino, The Old Hat Band, Weldon Henson, Landon Dodd, Swing Machine, The Electric Cowboys, Billy Mata, Jake Hooker, Jody Nix, Rita Capuchina, The Soggy Pesos, Brushfire, Bobby Flores, Evlouzion, Braydon Zinc, AJ Johnston, Matt Williams, Steve Griggs, Roger Creager, Kevin Fowler, Cory Morrow, Josh Ward, Kyle Park, Sam Riggs, Jon Wolfe, Mike Ryan…and I know I’ve left some out. Going forward I’d ask that you do your best to support the venues in The Concho Valley that strive to bring good quality entertainment and please realize that if you only attend the big shows it’s not enough to keep these venues profitable. Take a chance occasionally and go hear an artist that you’ve never heard of, you might be surprised at the quality of entertainment that you will discover. Again, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives and a part of the community. We will miss you San Angelo and honestly I hope that y’all will miss us just a little. Our last day of operations will be Friday October 18th, all shows and promotions between now and then are still scheduled to take place. I’d love to see all of our Concho Palace Friends and Family before then. vaya con Dios
You still have a few more days to get your two step on but you better hurry because last call is on October 18.
