H-E-B's Helping Heroes Program Honors First Responders on 9/11

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- H-E-B in San Angelo honored local first responders todays for their dedication and unwavering service during the company’s 15th Annual Helping Heroes program.

On September 11, H-E-B Partners from San Angelo H-E-B stores provided lunch at the Central Fire Station for all fire stations to enjoy a bite to eat. Another team of H-E-B Partners also served meals to San Angelo PD.

On this day of service, H-E-B Partners served all first responders throughout San Angelo.

"At H-E-B, we salute all first responders throughout the state," said H-E-B Unit Director Lynn Shipley. "We are proud to recognize these brave men and women who work tirelessly to rescue and help people in need."

Companywide, thousands of H-E-B Partners will show their support with various activities such as preparing meals, performing maintenance projects and washing fire trucks at more than 700 fire stations across the Lone Star State.

The Helping Heroes program provides an opportunity for H-E-B Partners to support their communities and thank the first responders who dedicate their lives to keeping our communities safe.

This program commemorates September 11 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance, paying tribute to the emergency personnel who risked and lost their lives during the World Trade Center attack.
